Machine learning application upon astronomical studies can be traced back to 1990s, while it was until recent years that astronomical community started to pay significant attention to this area. In this talk, I will recap the basics of machine learning, especially artificial neural networks, and use my deep learning algorithm for Giant Radio Galaxy classification as an example to run through an ordinary astro-ML application workflow.
